75g beef suet (i had to use frozen shortening)
125ml milk

Jam
2lbs strawberries
3 cups sugar

Custard

2 cups whole milk
2 teaspoons vanilla bean paste , or vanilla extract
2/3 cup sugar
1/4 cup cornstarch
1/4 teaspoon salt
4 large egg yolks , room temperature
1 tablespoon unsalted butter , diced
