#ElTuli, right-hand man of #ElMencho who offered $1,200 bounty for every Mexican soldier, has been taken down. The CUNG operative, whose real name was Hugo César Macías Ureña (also known as “El Tulipán”), was a key logistics and financial coordinator for the cartel leader Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes (“El Mencho”). 

Following El Mencho’s de-th in a Mexican military raid on February 22, 2026, in Tapalpa, Jalisco, El Tuli orchestrated widespread retaliatory violence-including roadblocks, arson attacks on vehicles, and assaults on government facilities-while reportedly placing a 20,000-peso bounty (approximately $1,100-$1,200 USD) on each soldier or National Guard member to fuel the chaos. 

Mexican special forces tracked him to El Grullo, Jalisco, where he was taken down in a shootout shortly after while attempting to flee; authorities seized firearms, large sums of cash (including nearly $1.4 million USD equivalent), and other items. 👀
