Morning! My story. My lesson…

Here goes....

👋🏼 I’m Adela and I’m a Disruptive Publicist, Story-hunter & Media Mentor.

👚 I’m a 3RD Gen British Asian and spent most of my youth in my parent’s clothes shops in trendy Brighton, England.

🛍️ I can name EVERY fashion trend from 1980 to 1999 because I probably sold a high street version of it for £9.99 and put it in a plastic bag!

✈️ Over 17 years, I was a Management Consultant. Think George Clooney in the movie “Up in The Air”….jetting off to different client offices, working on mergers and company transformations for companies like Accenture Unilever, Deutsche Bank, GSK, Lloyds, RBS, Ford, Sky, BT.

But I wanted my own company.

🌴So I launched a fashion tech company from a bamboo hut in Bali.

📰 It became known as the “hellofresh of fashion” and within 18 months it was featured in 14 publications like HBR, The Sunday Times, The Sunday Telegraph, The Independent, The Guardian, Cosmopolitan, Red, Psychologies, Stylist, The Times.

What I learnt, that got me those features, was this:

✏️ No one will ever blow your trumpet for you.

✏️ You have to be your biggest champion whether you like it or not.

✏️ You have to get comfortable telling your story.

✏️On Repeat. 📣📣📣

✏️Because when you do that on repeat, people will notice.

Even the stubborn ones.

So that’s what I do now.
