When @annabelchown joined Pitch to Press I knew she had a powerful story to tell that would help so many.

I was so passionate about her story that when I saw the editor of a top women’s magazine in the farmer’s market, I pounced on her over the spinach & told her about Annabel.

Annabel never gave up when her story didn’t make that publication. She carried on because she knew her story would help someone. That’s the sign of a true PR Hero:

“I’m delighted to have written a feature for @psychologiesmagazine on learning to thrive again after life brings you to your knees. In it, I describe what I learnt from the two toughest experiences of my life, and how I’ve come to believe resilience is a muscle we can build, rather than something we’re born with or without.

I loved writing this piece. It does feels quite raw & exposing to share my truth though. But what I’ve also learnt is that discomfort isn’t necessarily a bad thing. Often it means we’re stretching and growing into new and vital parts of ourselves. Plus, it’s so important to open up the conversation around difficult subjects. Doing so will hopefully help someone out there know they’re not alone, and offer a glimmer of hope at a dark time.
