The Gwinnett County District Attorney has decided not to file charges in the deadly shooting of Atlanta rapper #THood, according to 11Alive.

According to the DA’s office, prosecutors conducted their own independent review of the police investigation and determined there is not enough evidence to move forward with charges. They said the facts and the law support Gwinnett County Police’s earlier finding that the shooting was a case of self-defense.

Police were called to a shooting in Snellville on August 9, 2025, where T-Hood was found dead. A few days later, authorities said the case was being investigated as a possible self-defense situation and referenced #KyFrost, the son of ‘Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta’ stars #KirkFrost and #Rasheed, in the police report.

The medical examiner reported that Hood was shot six times, with injuries to his legs, back, and abdomen.

In its statement, the District Attorney’s Office also said it met personally with Hood’s family to offer condolences and confirmed there were no direct witnesses to the shooting, including no ride-share driver present at the scene. Neighbors only arrived after hearing gunfire. (✍🏾: #TSRStaffLG)
