In this video we highlight some of France’s most iconic moments at the Winter Paralympics and the legendary athletes behind them:

Lionel Brun – A French para alpine skier who shined at the 1992 Winter Paralympics in Albertville with multiple medals including two golds in giant slalom and slalom LW6/8 on home snow.

Stephane Saas – Another star of the 1992 Albertville Games, winning two Paralympic gold medals in Alpine skiing events (giant slalom B2 and super-G B2) and becoming one of France’s most successful Para alpine athletes.

Pascale Casanova – A decorated French para-alpine skier who captured eleven medals across several Winter Paralympics, including becoming France’s first female Paralympic Winter Games champion with gold in Turin 2006.

Marie Bochet – One of France’s most dominant Paralympic alpine skiers, Bochet won four gold medals at both the Sochi 2014 and PyeongChang 2018 Winter Paralympics, becoming one of the most successful French Para athletes of all time.

Benjamin Daviet – A standout French para nordic skier and biathlete, Daviet claimed France’s first biathlon gold in the 2018 Winter Paralympics, with multiple medals across Winter Games and serving as flagbearer for France.
