At the PyeongChang Olympic Stadium on 18 March 2018, the Closing Ceremony featured a powerful reinterpretation of “Arirang,” Korea’s most iconic folk song.

The melody was performed on the traditional taepyeongso, accompanied by live band instrumentation, while performers with disabilities played large drums in a striking visual and rhythmic display.

The segment celebrated Korean cultural heritage and unity, bringing the Games to an emotional close.
