Just the other day, Dalvin Cook said he was going to holdout until he got an extension, here’s an overview of what that means for the 2020 season.⠀

GAMES TO BE MISSED - I for one don’t really believe that he’s going to miss too much time at all. My guess is that he returns early in the season if he misses any games at all, mainly due to the huge repercussions missing training camp will have. If he misses training camp, he’ll push back his unrestricted free agency to 2021. Even if he misses the start of the season, he will still be worth a high-end pick.⠀

MATTISON - Now, in the event that Dalvin does not play to start the season, Mattison makes for an intriguing option in fantasy drafts. Among RBs with at least 100 rushes, Mattison ranked 13th in YAC per attempt posting. He fits in perfectly with the Vikings run heavy offense and will be a weekly starter until Cook returns. I’d call him a low-end RB2 without Cook and not really an asset at all with Cook playing.⠀
