NorthStar SailGP Team 11th in Sydney ⛵ L'équipe NorthStar SailGP 11e à Sydney

The NorthStar SailGP Team representing Canada took the 11th position overall at the 3rd stage of SailGP 2026 season held this weekend in Sydney, Australia. 

After racing, the team was also notified by the jury that there has been a report from the Tech Team regarding NorthStar’s contact with Germany in race 5 and Sweden in race 6. The jury has scheduled hearings in the coming days and the decision could result in penalty points being applied.

"It has been one of the most frustrating and difficult weekends for this team", said Phil Kennard, Team Principal and CEO of the NorthStar SailGP Team. "We also understand that our results are disappointing for our fans. We will be debriefing and will make improvements that bring performance back in line with all of our expectations."

After three events, the Canadian team is currently 10th overall. Next event will be held April 11-12 in Rio, Brazil

L'équipe NorthStar SailGP 11e à Sydney

L'équipe NorthStar SailGP représentant le Canada a pris le 11e rang au classement général lors de la 3e étape de la saison 2026 de SailGP qui a eu lieu cette fin de semaine à Sydney, en Australie. 

Après la course, l'équipe a également été informée par le jury qu'un rapport avait été rédigé par l'équipe technique concernant le contact de NorthStar avec l'Allemagne lors de la course 5 et avec la Suède lors de la course 6. Le jury a prévu des audiences dans les prochains jours et la décision pourrait entraîner l'application de points de pénalité.
