The NorthStar SailGP Team representing Canada is back in action this weekend for the 3rd stage of SailGP 2026 season that will take place in Sydney, Australia. After two events, the Canadian team is currently 9th overall.

Sydney always delivers tight racing, challenging conditions and an electric fan atmosphere on Shark Island.

This weekend will mark an exciting first for SailGP, with racing taking place in a new twilight “Golden Hour” window, racing from 17:30 to 19:00 (local time) on both race days.

Notably, France and New Zealand will not compete in the Sydney event, following on from the collision in Auckland. Most importantly, the injured athletes are recovering well.

L'équipe NorthStar SailGP représentant le Canada est de retour à l'action cette fin de semaine pour la 3e étape de la saison 2026 de SailGP qui aura lieu à Sydney, en Australie. Après la deuxième compétition, l'équipe canadienne est présentement au 9e rang au classement général.

Sydney offre toujours des courses serrées, des conditions difficiles et une ambiance électrique sur Shark Island.

Cette fin de semaine marquera une première intéressante pour SailGP, avec des courses se déroulant dans une nouvelle fenêtre au crépuscule nommée « Golden Hour », de 17 h 30 à 19 h 00 (heure locale) lors des deux jours de course.

Il est à noter que la France et la Nouvelle-Zélande ne participeront pas à l'épreuve de Sydney, à la suite de leur collision survenue à Auckland. Mais les athlètes blessés se remettent bien.
