One year ago today, our letrforso Run Final Leg Team, led by Team Captain and Special Olympics Board Member Mark McCorkle, arrived in Italy carrying the Flame of Hope and the spirit of unity and inclusion that defines Special Olympics. 

Their journey included a powerful moment inside Vatican City, where Monsignor Pepe led a private Mass at St. Peter’s Basilica and blessed our athletes, the Flame of Hope, and the Final Leg torch.

Today, we look back with gratitude and forward with excitement as the Flame of Hope continues to shine around the world through our partners at Law Enforcement Torch Run. 💛🌍
