🦃❤️ Happy Thanksgiving, Raider Family! We are grateful for the community we call home and the partners who make our city stronger. In true RU–N fashion, we don’t celebrate the holidays alone, we do it hand in hand with our city #InNewarkOfNewark

Last week, the Newark Division of rutgers_pd proudly continued their annual tradition of supporting the North Jersey Community Research Initiative’s njcri Friendsgiving, an event that helps provide warm meals to hundreds of unsheltered and food-insecure individuals across Newark.

We are thankful for our police officers, community service officers, and staff who donated meals and resources, and a special thank you goes to our Security Division for cooking, preparing beverages, and showing tremendous generosity. A big thank you to all who joined us in serving, your presence and partnership truly made a difference.

We’re especially grateful for NJCRI, located right here in Newark, whose services, from mental health counseling and HIV health care to housing support, education, and case management, provide stability and hope for so many in our community.

Wishing everyone a safe, warm, and happy Thanksgiving. We are lucky to serve a community that shows up for one another, in a city we get to call home 🏡❤️
