🏅 Rutgers–Newark has officially earned the Seal of Excelencia excelencia_in_education, becoming the only university in New Jersey with this national distinction. And what better moment to celebrate than during Latine/Hispanic Heritage Month ❤️🤍

Nearly 35% of our undergraduates in 2024-2025 identified as Latine/Hispanic, far exceeding the 25 percent threshold for federal designation as a Hispanic-Serving Institution (HSI).

This seal recognizes more than enrollment, it honors the culture of belonging and success that defines our campus.

Achievements like the Seal of Excelencia don’t happen overnight, or by one person alone. They are the result of an entire community working together. We couldn’t have done this without our Raider Family (our staff, faculty, students, alumni, and partners) who continue to pour their time, passion, care, and dedication into Rutgers–Newark.

We’re proud of this recognition, but even more proud of the people who made it possible. Thank you for believing in our students and in the power of our community.
