Small Wonders Pediatric Dentistry!

If you’re looking for a pediatric dentist with a warm kind smile and a state-of-the-art (gorgeous!) office look no further than Dr. Nancy at Small Wonders Pediatric Dentistry!

Dr. Nancy opened @smallwonderskidsdental in Hicksville with the idea of taking her time with each patient and specializing in “Minimally Invasive Dentistry” aka No Shot Dentistry by using @elevateoralcare Silver Diamine Fluoride.

Continuing with the theme of her patients’ comfort as paramount, she decorated the office with muted colors, fairy lights, and fun animal decals to make her little patients feel calm.

She also installed an extra comfy cloud-like chair and two TVs. One across from the chair AND one above it so kids can look forward or up while she works her dental magic.

My son loved lying down and playing video games on the ceiling (!) while she examined him. He talked about how cool it was for the rest of the day!

But wait, there’s more! Dr. Nancy considered all parts of the pediatric dental visit while curating her concept:

For regular check-ups and cleanings she offers a menu of seven delicious-smelling @young_dental Zooby toothpastes and uses a cordless gentle spin @nskdental_us toothbrush with different speeds to make the child comfortable. 

For more involved dental work she has a scented nitrous “nose” for laughing gas and a painless @milestonescientific computerized anesthesia drip device called Single Tooth Anesthesia to reduce the pain of the shot.

For X-rays, she uses a @airtechniquesinc machine with paper-thin bite plates to reduce discomfort in the mouth. 

For cavity fillings, she uses the @ultradentproducts Valo Grand special curing light that reduces the hardening of the filling material from 30 seconds to 3 seconds - a big deal for a squirmy three-year-old!
