Thank you so much to NetGalley, Hachette Audio, and Forever for the opportunity to review the ALC of Still Into You by Erin Connor!! Still Into You is a second-chance romance that completely swept me up in nostalgia, longing, and all the messy feelings that come with unfinished love. Sloane is an aspiring music journalist desperately trying to land a permanent role at her job, and her big break finally arrives… except it comes in the form of interviewing her ex-boyfriend—Dax—who just so happens to be one of the biggest rock stars in the world. Set between the early 2000s and 2010s, this story balances past and present beautifully. As Sloane reconnects with Dax and his band (who haven’t done an interview in years), layers start to peel back—not just about their rise to fame, but about what really happened between Sloane and Dax. And let me just say… this man is down bad. Dax being absolutely obsessed with Sloane will forever get me. He truly believes in her talent and knows she’s the only one who can tell their story the right way. I love how he never holds her back, even when he sees a mutual friend ask her out, not that she was interested lol. But the tension? So good. They have to keep their history a secret from Sloane’s boss because she refuses to let anyone think she earned this opportunity by sleeping with the talent. That internal pressure, paired with unresolved feelings, makes everything feel so high stakes. Sloane was incredibly relatable—especially in the way she talks about ambition, attraction, and the risks she’s willing to take for her career (even when it cost her Dax in the past). Now that they’re older, they’re forced to ask themselves what they actually want—and what they’re willing to sacrifice to make it work this time. One of my favorite parts was the interview chapters with the band. They genuinely felt like I was listening to a music documentary. The audiobook production elevated this story so much. The multiple narrators and distinct voices made it immersive and emotional—I felt like I was right there in the corner watching them all catch up as friends after years apart. It was thoughtfully written and the narration brought so much depth to every character.
