There is nothing quite like watching a child get completely, utterly lost in a story.

And yesterday, catcafestudio in Bombay gave me exactly that (Pooja & Trudy - a big thanks to you!). Little hands hunting for clues. Little ones singing: Golu, where did you go? They made art about what family means. 

When I wrote this book, I had no idea Golu would find his way into so many hearts. Moments like yesterday remind me why this story needed to exist. 

Bombay, you showed up beautifully. Thank you to everyone who came. It was just the kind of small, gentle gathering I had dreamed of. You made this morning something I’ll carry for a long, long time. To friends who have made this journey super special, I couldn’t be more grateful. Thank you for cheering at every single step.

The next read-aloud is taking place in Delhi in two weeks. And it’s incredibly special for a lot of reasons. Sharing more soon :)
