Spelman College’s Baccalaureate and Commencement services for the Undaunted Class of 2024 were a true celebration of Black Girl Magic! The renowned Reverend Dr. Yvette Flunder delivered a dynamic message, and the iconic Angela Bassett’s powerful words inspired us all. We were honored to bestow an honorary Doctor of Arts to Ms. Bassett as well as a Doctor of Laws degree upon the trailblazing Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson and present the National Community Service Award to the highly acclaimed Atlanta journalist Rose Scott.
