WOW. This journey to get to the Vibe stage was not an easy one, I don’t think it ever is. Building this concept over the past 2 months has challenged me in ways I could not have expected, but I know everything happens for a reason. I feel blessed to direct & lead a team of dancers who are hungry & willing to put in the work, something I prayed for when I started this team. #
I love doechii. I love what she stands for, I love her artistry, I love her unapologetic energy, I love her ability to address haters with class & I love that she puts it in the art. She is everything that I also stand for, & hope to make others feel with my art. I hope that those who also resonate with Doechii’s story were also moved by our set 💃🏽🪩‼️

As a director, many of us understand that simply by putting our work out there at competitions like these, it opens the flood gates for people to discredit your work, comment on what they think you should have done, argue about placings or simply talk shit on your integrity as a team or person. One thing I love about Doechii is the way she addresses criticism, so anything I would say or respond with is already baked in the lyrics of Nissan Altima. Take another listen if you need 😉

Thank you to everyone who made this set possible, from all the dancers that started this journey with us in our training phase, to murphysbizarreadventure for styling us & hand sewing parts of our costume by themselves for HOURS STRAIGHT, julia.gaspari & _toricone_ for all the support backstage with the lights, the choreographers who helped bring this set to life (jayjayp16 _fantaye davinlawson dtrix gravityjacobs 🫶🏽), to my leadership board who held down rehearsals when I was on jobs other states & held me down spiritually (cat.tylerr ageha.nagatomo celine.manor aim_nikki) & finally to the vmodance cast you saw on stage last night. Thank you all for believing in me & the vision 🐊🤎

I don’t know what the future holds for me or this team, but I know I want more. More for us all, underdogs and all 😈✌🏽
