A snowstorm. A sudden text: “Mom, I can’t move my arm.” 

14-year-old Molly McCoskey was having a stroke—rare in kids, but possible. Her mom Laurie recognized the signs and acted fast. 

Minutes mattered: rapid imaging, clot-busting medication, coordinated transfer (led by a snowplow), and a thrombectomy that restored blood flow in ~20–25 minutes. 

Today, she’s nearly back to baseline, and already back at the barn teaching riding lessons. 💙
