Power Rangers might be remembered for giant robots and monsters, but the background streets were quietly filled with legendary 90s tuner cars.

Filmed largely in California during the height of the import boom, the show often captured real enthusiast cars like the Nissan Silvia and its U.S. counterpart the 240SX.

These lightweight rear wheel drive coupes became icons in drifting and street tuning thanks to their simple chassis and easy engine swap potential.
