There are a lot of endorsements in politics. And I'm grateful for every single one. But the ones that matter the most come from the people. From families like Mariela's. She was on her way to immigration court when she was detained. She has two lumps on her breast and was scheduled for a mammogram, but she never made it to that appointment. While detained in Dilley with her husband and babies, she was only given Tylenol instead of the medical care she needed. We showed up. Not for headlines. Not for applause. But because humanity is not a strategy. It is a responsibility. And we are not stopping. We are continuing to help families get out, to connect them with support, and to stand with them every step of the way.
