Summer is coming to a close, but fireislandmovie hasn't caught the ferry just yet! On Tuesday (September 20), the #GothamAwards, which honor independent films every year, announced the #FireIsland cast will receive the Ensemble Tribute award at this year's ceremony. ihatejoelkim, fayedunaway, conradricamora, scullynjames, mattrogerstho, tomatos_, torianmiller, thenickadams, zanethan, and margaret_cho are among the cast members being honored for bringing the #FireIsland scene to life. "The remarkably funny cast truly feels like a family and their incredible individual talent and overall group chemistry is on display in every scene of the film," Gotham director Jeffrey Sharp said in a statement.
