The #Queens-born, #Brooklyn-based artist was crowned Miss #Bushwig in 2018, and has made a name for herself as a standout drag #performer and proud #transgender #Latina. Through her smash-hit #Veneno tribute show to her ‘La Gala’ event at the Brooklyn Museum, Chiquitita continues to foster and celebrate the #LGBTQ community.

“I like to say that the Brooklyn #drag community is a matriarchy, whereas the rest of the world is a patriarchy,” she tells Logo. “A lot of us are #trans. A lot of us are #nonbinary. A lot of us are #women, and we lead the space. No man’s gonna tell us how to run our space. And I love it. I knew it was the perfect place.”
