ACOTAR FANS! We got the tea we’ve been waiting for AND MORE 📚✨

Appearing on the latest episode of ‘Call Her Daddy’ with Alex Cooper, ‘A Court of Thorns and Roses’ author Sarah J. Maas confirmed that not one, but TWO new books are officially on the way in the next 10 months! 😱

The highly anticipated sixth ACOTAR novel is set to arrive October 27, 2026, with ACOTAR 7 following shortly after on January 12, 2027. 

Maas explained the next chapter of the story took time to come together both because of things going on in her personal life and because she had A LOT to say.

“It’s been a long time coming... it took me a long time to write, just because there were enough things going on in my life that I had to sort through,” she said. “It’s taken a while because it took me a while to find the right story and to be in the right headspace.”

“There will be two books within a very short span,” she confirmed. “It’s just the story that was finally ready to come out of me was big, really, really, really big.”
According to Maas, the upcoming arc will actually span three physical volumes, designed to be read as one massive narrative rather than a traditional trilogy.

“It’s meant to be read ideally as one massive story as opposed to a trilogy. It’s not a trilogy. Like, arcs aren’t wrapped up,” she explained. “There’s gonna be a lot of ACOTAR in a very short time. Eventually, the conclusion will be written… I don’t want anyone to wait any longer.”

As for what readers can expect next in the world of Prythian: 
✨ a new surprising POV (fans are speculating Gwyn based on the colour of her sweater👀) 
✨ a deeper look at Elaine’s character 
✨ probably no redemption for Tamlin
✨ a story told in 4 parts: Pt 1 = ACOTAR 6, Pt 2/3 = ACOTAR 7, Pt 4 = unannounced ACOTAR 8

And as for all you Azriel/Bryce shippers after HOFAS, Bryce and Hunt are officially endgame, sorry! ❤️
