You might have recently been seeing Vic Mensa come across your feed or FYP with his thumb stopping Orange Tree videos, but make no mistake, Vic has been a vocal artist and has been discussing world issues for years, whether it's through his music, organizations, businesses, or social media.

Vic Mensa sat down with Complex News’ Mami Tiff, where they discussed the impact and behind-the-scenes of what it looks like being an outspoken artist in today’s political climate. Vic also gives his flowers to fellow artist Kehlani, who has also been a vocal artist, and discusses personally how it has impacted his career.

Vic also gives an update on how Chicago rap has evolved since the come up of his and Chance The Rapper’s era, and who he’s currently tapped into.
