Ace Austin erupted in the fourth quarter, scoring all 14 of her points to lead Alabama to a 65–48 victory over Missouri in the first round of the SEC Women’s Basketball Tournament on Wednesday night in Greenville, South Carolina. The Crimson Tide used a dominant closing stretch to pull away and secure their first conference tournament win since 2022.

Alabama (22–9) entered the fourth quarter with a slim lead before Austin sparked a decisive 12–2 run, knocking down four 3-pointers to extend the advantage to 14 with 6:39 remaining. The Tigers were unable to recover as the Crimson Tide controlled the final minutes to seal the win.

Diana Collins added 13 points for Alabama, while Ta’Mia Scott finished with 12 points and three blocks. Essence Cody contributed 10 points, and Karly Weathers impacted the game across the board with a career-high 16 rebounds along with six assists, two steals and a block.

Missouri (16–16) dropped its sixth straight game to end the season. Jordana Reisma led the Tigers with 15 points on 7-of-8 shooting, while Grace Slaughter recorded a double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds. Missouri struggled offensively early, shooting just 25 percent in the first half and entering the break trailing 31–20.

Alabama had previously defeated Missouri 74–63 earlier this season on Jan. 12 and now advances to face No. 6 seed Tennessee in the second round on Thursday.
