“Jenna Ortega: A Little Golden Book,” written by Heather E. Schwartz and illustrated by Argentinian artist Luz Tapia, celebrates Ortega’s life and career in entertainment. Through colorful illustrations of her Mexican and Puerto Rican family and traditions, the sets she worked on as a child actress, the iconic dance number from “Wednesday” that went viral, and more, the biographical children’s picture book offers a glimpse into Ortega’s rise and success as a young actress. According to Tapia, whose art reflects her love of all things fantasy, nature, and pop culture, working on the project “was a dream come true” as a fan of “Wednesday.” 

“I’m a big Jenna Ortega fan. I’ve always loved her horror works and then when she got to play Wednesday, it made me excited that more people got to know how talented she is,” Tapia told Remezcla in an exclusive statement. “As a Latina who grew up watching the 90s version with Christina Ricci… (and often got called Wednesday because of my long braided black hair and dark circles) it felt like a full circle moment getting to illustrate this generation’s Wednesday.”
