As Black History Month comes to a close, our Stonehill Coaches stonehillsb Ali Maloof, stonehillmsoccer Jim Reddish, stonehillwlax Katie Conover, and stonehillbaseball Pat Boen speak on how the relationship between black culture and sports has been a uniting force for battling inequality, stereotypes, and the mistreatment of races and cultures. Athletics has provided those of various backgrounds and identities a space to work as a team and an equal playing field. With this, the Stonehill community wants to emphasize how Black History should not just be focused on during February, but each and every day, as our communities are stronger together than divided.
