“do you ever think we’ll get it back again?”

I’ve asked myself this question about a million things these days but the video helped bring this line home. 

There is a spark that children have that can be dulled by a million different outside forces. I live to find that spark again. That light. 

I met Tenille Townes when I first moved back to nashville. I love her songwriting and her voice. Her heart. 

We’ve both been pretty open about the ups, the downs, and all arounds. This music video was healing to make. Find that spark - and hold on. 

Neta (the director) and I have now made 7 music videos together. It’s officially my longest relationship. Sorry Gabe. This one pushed us into new territory thinking about linear storytelling. I’m so proud of what we made and the millions of different moving parts that go into each creation. 

And to Silas House - who wrote the treatment for the timmytychilders music video “In Your Love” which healed something for me when I saw it. When he and I connected about the music, he dove straight to the heart of this song. Healing my own childhood in the process.
