That’s a wrap on the Sustainable Cities Festival 2026 at UEL! 🌿✨

Over three incredible days, we brought together global industry leaders, local partners and the east London community to engineer a greener, more inclusive future.

Mayor Rokhsana Fiaz officially opened the festival at our Docklands campus. From our Jobs Fair with teslamotors, siemens_uk and morgansindallinfrastructure to talks on inclusive talent, we focused on equipping our community for the green economy.

We explored how sustainable ideas become real ventures with a Local Business Breakfast and start-up pitch sessions hosted by the Enterprise Team. Founders connected with experts from the State Bank of India and ssv.smartpay, while visitors experienced Tesla EV test drives.

The festival closed with a focus on local impact, featuring Grow London Local networking and tours of the Royal Docks. Workshops with transition_newham, dialogue.cafe.uk, RDCS and RAD explored everything from upcycling to the role of AI in society.
