You may have heard of him… but around here he’s just Cav — a great teammate and brother to so many in our community. As he continues his professional career with the Philadelphia Union and studies through the University of Pennsylvania’s online program, he reflects on his time at yscacademy …

Cavan Sullivan / philaunion

𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁:
Planning to attend uofpenn ‘s online program while continuing my professional soccer career.

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗜’𝗹𝗹 𝗠𝗶𝘀𝘀 𝗠𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗔𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗬𝗦𝗖:
Coming in from training, making a bagel, and sitting down with my brothers for life. Those moments were simple, but they meant everything—just a group of kids being kids, laughing, joking around, and making memories that will stay with me forever.

𝗔𝗱𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗡𝗲𝘅𝘁 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻:
Cherish every moment you get at this school because time really does fly. I still remember being a 5th grader playing TeqBall with the older guys, and now somehow I’m one of those older guys. Embrace the challenges this school gives you, push yourself in every class, and enjoy every test, practice, and free period. Make the most of it—these years go by faster than you think.

As Cavan looks ahead to the next chapter of his journey, he carries with him the memories that made these years so special — the everyday moments with teammates who became brothers and the countless laughs in between practices and classes. His advice to the next generation is simple: cherish every moment, embrace the challenges, and make the most of the time here. We couldn’t be prouder of all he’s accomplished already, and we can’t wait to see everything that comes next. Once a YSC brother, always a YSC brother. 💙 🩵
