Over the years, Al has been such an incredible supporter of what this community has built for the kids at childrensmercy 

From stepping behind the plate as the celebrity softball game umpire, to spending time with patients at the hospital, to donating unforgettable TODAY Show experience auction packages, to even grabbing a tambourine and sitting in with the band - he’s shown up again and again with generosity, humor, and heart.

We’re grateful for the coverage, the friendship, and the platform he’s helped create to share the mission of supporting pediatric cancer research and care at Children’s Mercy.

And a huge congratulations to Al on 30 years with TODAY - an incredible run for someone who has made a career out of bringing people together and lifting up stories that matter.
