Lavender Recognition is an annual ceremony celebrating sexual and gender diverse graduating students and their allies, honoring their achievements, leadership, and contributions to the Penn State community. 🌈

This year is especially meaningful as we celebrate the 25th Annual Lavender Recognition.

Graduating students from May, August, or December 2026 are invited to join us for the celebration:

📅 Friday, April 24
⏰ 6:00 p.m.
📍 Alumni Hall, University Park
🍽 Dinner provided

Participants who attend the ceremony will receive a Lavender stole, tassel, and certificate. Graduates do not need to wear commencement regalia and are encouraged to dress in business formal or cocktail attire.

Lavender Recognition is open to all students, regardless of sex, gender, sexual orientation, race, or any other protected class.
