Christeen Iwuala scored 18 points on a perfect shooting night to lead No. 24 Ole Miss to a 73–57 victory over Auburn in the second round of the SEC Women’s Basketball Tournament on Thursday in Greenville, South Carolina. The seventh-seeded Rebels controlled the game from the opening tip and advanced to the quarterfinals with a wire-to-wire win.

Ole Miss (22–10) surged ahead early with a 12–1 run to open the game and never looked back, building a commanding 48–20 halftime lead. Iwuala was dominant in the paint, shooting 8-of-8 from the field and grabbing nine rebounds, including the 250th of her career. She was flawless in the first half as well, going 5-of-5 for 10 points to help the Rebels create separation.

Latasha Lattimore and Cotie McMahon each added 13 points for Ole Miss as the Rebels maintained control throughout the second half. Auburn (15–17) attempted to rally late, putting together a 10–0 run that stretched more than three minutes in the fourth quarter, but the Tigers were unable to cut significantly into the deficit.

Khady Leye led Auburn with 17 points, while Kaitlyn Duhon added 14 in the loss. Despite the late push, Ole Miss’ strong start and efficient shooting proved too much for the Tigers to overcome.

Ole Miss advances to face No. 2 seed Vanderbilt in the SEC Tournament quarterfinals on Friday. Auburn now awaits a potential postseason tournament invitation.
