All jumps to 6.06

But it took a lot more jumps to get here... I jumped my first 6m bar three years ago and since then I’ve been dealing with small and big injuries keeping me from training consistently. I always knew if I was able to stay healthy and get some consistent training that I’d be capable of jumping very high, but staying healthy was the hardest part.

This year I was finally able to start fall training healthy and had really good consistency in training. It felt like it was just a matter of putting it together on the day before something big could happen.

I told my dad before this competition that I was gonna jump 6.06 (and that it would be his birthday present). I could just feel that today was the day, my body felt good, my mind was ready, and the music and the spectators made it all possible.

Crazy to think I now have the 6th best jump in the history of pole vault.
