A few weeks ago I installed VIXA from the AA. It’s like a fitness tracker for your vehicle!

It plugs into your van or car and monitors the health of both your engine and your battery. At the first sign of any issues it sends you an alert via the app

Turns out I have two issues (🥴) that I wasn’t aware of! If you’ve been following my stories you would have seen me discover that the diesel filter had an issue, this is how I found out! Whilst I was sad to discover that Betty had more than a few issues (very sad), I was honestly so pleased that I discovered them before I going to Europe again. If these issues had gone undetected and I went to France alone and then broke down I would have been devastated.

The diesel filter issue has now been fixed which is great! I now just need someone to look at the battery, so I’m going to use the VIXA app to book a mechanic to look at it when I’m back in the UK. This might explain why the battery was causing issues last Christmas, I just replaced the battery thinking it was an old battery, but now I’m going to make sure I get to the root cause of it 

I am also excited about having the WhatsApp mechanic function for any future issues. When your vehicle is your home, it is always terrifying when small issues arise that you aren’t sure what to do with, having someone help identify these issues will be fantastic.
