I’ve walked into rooms where women weren’t expected to be — and definitely weren’t expected to last.
But I stayed.

My journey started in 2005, when basketball took me to the United States on a NCAA DI scholarship 🏀

Sports opened the first door.
Education is what allowed me to keep walking through many more.

That’s why I kept studying, earning degrees, and investing in knowledge — not for titles, but for independence. Because education prepares you for opportunities long before they appear.

Over the years, that preparation took me around the world working with some of the biggest organizations in international basketball — the EuroLeague, FIBA, NBA Europe, and the NBA Summer League and many more.

Most people have seen me in front of the camera as a presenter and reporter.

But what many don’t see is the work behind the camera — production, media operations, strategy, and the business side of the industry.

And the truth is, a lot of those skills were things I had to learn on the job from day one. They weren’t handed to me, and they weren’t part of a single degree.

I learned them through experience, curiosity, and a willingness to keep learning every single day.

Because nothing I have today was given.
Everything was built through hard work, preparation, and persistence.

Many times I was the only woman in the room.
In some cases, I still am.

But when you prepare, take risks, and keep learning, you realize something powerful:
doors that seem closed are often just doors no one expected you to open.

Today I’m also a mother, running my own media, production and marketing company, and creating my own shows.

And now I carry another responsibility — raising a son who understands the value and strength of independent women.

Because women bring much more to the table than what society once expected of us.

So today, on Women’s Day, I don’t celebrate.

I remind myself of what I’m capable of.
And I hope every girl out there remembers the same thing:

Your independence is where your freedom begins.

Ps: when a woman is educated, independent, and prepared — there is no room she cannot enter 😉
