Today I met Oscar for the first time.

Oscar is a very big mule… but standing next to him you quickly realize he’s just a gentle soul trying to understand a world he cannot see.

Oscar is blind.
So everything for him is sound, touch, and trust.

When I started brushing him today, he slowly leaned into me… like he was trying to memorize who I was. Like he was asking, “Are you safe?”

Moments like that stop time.

Because animals like Oscar have every reason to be afraid of people… yet somehow they still choose to trust us.

And tomorrow… we begin the journey to bring this beautiful boy home. ❤️

Home to safety.
Home to kindness.
Home to a life where he will never have to be afraid again.

I think this big, beautiful mule is going to steal a lot of hearts.
