#HumansOfUpstate Spotlight: Meet Corbin White! 💚

For freshman Corbin White, choosing USC Upstate meant choosing something new — and becoming part of building it.

Originally planning to study architecture, Corbin discovered USC Upstate’s new industrial engineering program just as he was finalizing his college decision. Drawn to its hands-on approach and innovative design, he decided to stay close to home and take a leap into a program still shaping its future.

“What sets this program apart is the labs that we do,” White said. “They’re definitely pioneering something new here.”

As a Chancellor’s Ambassador with an outgoing personality, Corbin has quickly become a familiar face on campus. But beyond titles, he values being known for who he is: a student eager to learn, grow and support others.

“Nobody here has ever been unreachable if you’ve had a problem,” he said. “Everybody helps everybody.”
