Over three days, Jamaica’s best junior athletes battled at the CARIFTA Trials for a spot on the team heading to Grenada this April 4-6

I caught up with a few of the qualifiers: 
🏃🏾‍♀️ Imani Lowe (Alpha) – U17 400mH 2nd place 
🏃🏾‍♀️ Nastassia Fletcher (Hydel) – U20 400mH 2nd place
🥇 Kimari Smith (KC) – U20 Javelin 
🥇 Michael-Andre Edwards (JC) – U20 Long Jump & Triple Jump Champion
🏃🏾‍♀️ Natrece East (Wolmer’s Girls) – U20 100m & 200m 2nd place 

From first-time qualifiers to athletes returning after injury, the road to CARIFTA is never easy.

Next stop: Grenada 🇬🇩
