The free-agent negotiating period opened Monday morning with the Broncos interested in two running backs: their own J.K. Dobbins and Jacksonville's Travis Etienne.

When Etienne's market reached $12 million a year, Dobbins started looking better and better to the Broncos for several reasons, starting with the fact Dobbins, when healthy, was a better running back than Etienne last year.
