Safety first 🖤⠀

I have the right to bear arms. ⠀
I am responsible for protecting myself.⠀
I have an obligation to defend black womanhood.⠀
⠀
Allowing myself the opportunity to take my fate into my own hands and equip myself with the proper knowledge of self defense and protection is empowering.⠀
⠀
As a Black person, furthermore a Black woman, it is IMPERATIVE that I know how to protect myself, my loved ones, and my people by any means necessary. The threats on my life, my womanhood, and my community will never halt - so at minimum, I have to stay ready so I don’t have to get ready. ⠀

For my first time shooting, I can say:⠀

I felt empowered. ⠀
I felt capable. ⠀
I felt strong. ⠀
⠀
Because I AM all of these things.⠀
⠀
I’m not ‘gon lie, the recoil had me like 😳🥴, but repetition is key and after this training, I’ll be considering the range my 2nd home. 🏡 💪🏾🖤⠀
