## Caption

The school to prison pipeline has been negatively impacting our youth for years on end and we continue to cast a blind eye upon the institutions of oppression in place.

No individual thinking, no freedom of expression, no self guided pathways - just knowledge of assimilation. We do what is told of us and hold no other aspirations but the ones they teach us to have.

Our kids are being funneled through a pipeline setting them up for a life of confinement and it starts when they enter the classroom. We must produce conducive learning environments for our children where they are able to thrive, not slowly head off to their demise.

We must teach our youth, uplift our youth, educate our youth, and expose our youth to a future that does not involve cells and corrupt societies, but one of hope. I will continue to do my part in amplifying the voices of incarcerated youth, but we must collectively come together to dismantle the systems in place that handicap our child’s lives and education. #TheYouthWillBeAllWrite 🧡 .
