Fun fact about me - my parents gifted me 55 books for my “13th” birthday and I *almost* cried 😩

They knew my love for books and how I always found a way to be immersed in the pages; shipping my mind off to a variety of locations and eras 📚 .

I’ve always expressed my passion for words and literature.
Ive taken trips around the world through books.
I’ve expanded my vocabulary by absorbing what I read. 
I’ve built my writing skills due to my obsession with words.

I was always engrossed in literature and started reading books at a very early age. My Mom made sure that she read enough to me until I grasped onto the love on my own 🖤

With all that I have taken on lately (building a business blackvibetribe, starting my initiative theyouthwillbeallwrite, dropping 2 singles, “Crack Concrete” and “False Prophets”, being a dual enrolled student, among many other things) reading unfortunately took a back seat 😔

However...I have committed to reading more than ever and I will be sure to share my many reads with you 😌

porighteousteacher is an educator that advocates for educational equality. She’s making a deliberate effort to eliminate the reading deficits that contribute to the achievement and opportunity gaps amongst our brown children.
