Those were the good ‘ol days. 🖤
Days where I would show up on the set of selmamovie and “magic makers” like therealruthecarter and beeombi worked their magic on me. ✨✨
They are truly a force to be reckoned with. They have a way of capturing the Black aesthetic like no other. 
I used to wonder why I had never been cast for a movie, and when I got cast for this one, I knew why. I was supposed to be a part of a true film, not just any old film, but a film, with significance and substance, something with meat and potatoes and “Selma” was that film. This film taught me the meaning of patience and timing. In due time, young grasshopper, in due time. 
ava had a vision and we rallied around her to support it and “her”-story was made. I’m extremely grateful for the opportunity to have shared space with so many, creative and truly brilliant people. 🖤
