“To #BeABluejay means to take advantage of all the opportunities that you are given. With Creighton’s smaller student body, building connections with professors and staff has opened my eyes to what I am truly capable of.”

Lauren Pittinger, from Evergreen, Colorado, arrived at Creighton unsure where to begin. By giving herself time to explore, she found her spark. Through involvement in student organizations, she’s built meaningful friendships. She serves as Assistant Vice President for Programming for csuprogramboard.

The encouragement she has found at Creighton, she says, is contagious. “When I had a support team, I was able to do so much more than I thought was possible. For example, as professors have told me to reach for the stars and try for every opportunity, I built up the confidence to reach out to a law firm in Colorado, and now I'm a legal assistant for the law firm.”

Lauren hopes to go to law school after graduation. For now, she continues to explore opportunities and encourages others to do the same: “Curiosity leads to passion, and passion leads to discovering your intentions, your purpose and your future.”
