Today we celebrate the life and legacy of Olympic athlete Florence Griffith Joyner, who was born in Los Angeles, CA on this day in 1959! Flo Jo sprinted to three gold medals at the '88 Summer Olympics, earning five in her career, setting multiple world records in Track & Field, and being coined as “the fastest woman alive” ❤️🏃🏾‍♀️💨

Not only did she break records and shatter glass ceilings, but she did it while representing our beautiful, bold culture on the track! She is a trailblazer and despite being gone, she will NEVER be forgotten ‼️
