When I designed the message for this particular shirt, I couldn’t help but think that we are misunderstood by so many. Not that I care, because the people that misunderstand us, are usually the ones that choose to. They don’t care to understand our culture, our rich history, our resilience, our power, our beauty, our creativity.
•
But ignorance, hate, tradition and the “powers that be” will keep people in that very stagnant place, but we “the misunderstood” will continue to thrive and do what we do because we’re lit like that! 🤷🏽‍♀️
