The Academy Awards just announced the musical performances for the Oscars this weekend including legendary ballerina Misty Copeland. She will take the stage as part of a cinematic tribute tied to the nominated film 'Sinners.' The performance will accompany a live rendition of "I Lied To You" by Miles Caton and Raphael Saadiq, with additional artists including Eric Gales, Buddy Guy, Brittany Howard, Christone “Kingfish” Ingram, Jayme Lawson, Li Jun Li, Bobby Rush, Shaboozey and Alice Smith joining the performance.

The announcement comes after recent backlash over comments by Timothée Chalamet jokingly suggesting that "no one cares" about ballet and opera -- a remark that sparked criticism from performers and arts organizations.

Additionally, there will be a 'KPop Demon Hunters' moment featuring a fusion of traditional Korean instrumentalists and dance, celebrating the folklore and cultural inspiration that anchors the story behind the movie. And, of course, EJAE, Audrey Nuna and Rei Ami, the singing voices behind HUNTR/X, will perform the nominated original song “Golden.” 

Plus, Josh Groban is set to perform with the Los Angeles Master Chorale.

Hosted by Conan O’Brien, the Oscars air March 15. The 98th Oscars and the Oscars Red Carpet Show will air live across Canada on the CTV broadcast, and will be available to stream on Crave. ✨
