CHRA - Canadian Housing and Renewal Association > Conference Background Stage Mural > synonymartconsultation X 4two_design > Plywood, paint and hardware > It’s always a pleasure to collaborate with Chloe and Andrew from synonymartconsultation. Especially when it’s on projects for organizations that support great causes. CHRA is committed to creating opportunity for people to live in affordable homes in healthy communities and to help end homelessness. This is something I can totally get behind. I’m thankful for the opportunity to be able to include my family and work on a fun and meaningful project like this one. It’s a blessing and I’m so grateful to have a home for myself and family to grow in and everyone deserves this opportunity.

The goal for this project was to create a piece, that represented healthy homes and communities, accessibility and positive impacts made in our communities. It was a priority to create a mural that contributed positive energy on stage for the people presenting during the conference and for the audience. The mural was designed to work as a whole and as individual panels, while maintaining solid composition when viewed as stand alone panels. It was also designed to be transportable and modular. Finding a solution to have the panel stand on their own was a challenge I was looking forward to and the folding stand system worked great during transport and on stage. This project was a fun one and it was crazy how smoothly things went. They don’t all go like this that’s for sure. Lol. I’m not sure what the future holds for these pieces, but if they can be repurposed and used as materials for someone’s new home, that would give these pieces even more purpose to me.
